Alani Nu and Celsius both have similar takes on energy drinks. Both of these companies manufacture an abundance of energy drinks and have many different flavors to choose from. While they both offer many similar flavors, today we will be taking a closer look at both companies’ takes on blue raspberry flavored energy drinks. Let’s compare Alani Nu with their Breezeberry energy drink and Celsius with their Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz energy drink.
Alani Nu’s Breezeberry energy drink is 12 fl oz and typically costs $29.99 for a full 12 pack. It contains 200mg of caffeine, it is gluten free, and vegan. A serving size is 1 can and the amount of calories per serving is 15. When I first cracked the can open, the smell of sour blue raspberry snuck out. The first sip was definitely the best, it tasted like a sour blue raspberry slushie but a liquid version. As I kept drinking it, I realized it was a very sugary-sweet tasting drink. Although it was a very good first sip, the more I kept drinking it, the more I realized it was too sweet for me. I ended up giving the rest of my Alani to a friend because I thought it tasted way too sugary. I would say if you like things more on the sweet side you’ll definitely like this drink, but I don’t think it’s for me. I would rate Alani Nu’s Breezeberry a 6/10.
Celsius’s Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz energy drink is 12 fl oz and usually costs $21.48 for a full 12 pack. It contains 200mg of caffeine, along with the fact that it is proven to burn body fat, and accelerates metabolism. A serving size is 1 can, and the amount of calories per serving is 10. At first glance the Alani Nu’s packaging is definitely more eye-catching as it is full of color and more thought out, while Celsius’s can design could be considered boring compared to Alani Nu. When I first opened the can I smelt a subtle soft scent of blue raspberry. The first sip along with the rest of the sips, were amazing. It had the perfect balance of sweet and sour and tasted exactly like blue raspberry. I would rate Celsius’s Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz energy drink a 9/10.
Overall, I would have to say I enjoyed Celsius’s take on a blue raspberry energy drink over Alani Nu’s. In the end the Celsius was just perfect for me, it wasn’t overly sweet and I took pleasure in every sip. Alani Nu had an overwhelmingly sweet taste that was too much for my taste buds, but I would have to say Alani Nu’s packaging is way better than Celsius’s packaging. The price point of Celsius was also marked better with an $8.51 difference between the two energy drinks’ 12 packs. Also when looking at the calories, Celsius leads with 10 calories rather than Alani Nu with 15, which leaves me to say, Celsius is going to take the win for today’s Dish Duels.
