Come and Enjoy the Sun!

17th Avenue, Seagate and Keewaydin Beaches

During the school week we often get caught up in the stress of academics and sports, which tends to leave us exhausted. That is why we must use the weekend to get caught up and relax. During your weekend, the beach is a great place to wind down and enjoy the calming atmosphere of the waves crashing and the warm sunshine. Living here in Southwest Florida, the beaches never disappoint. Here are three beach spots in Naples that you will love.

17TH AVENUE BEACH/PIER

17th Avenue beach, located in downtown Old Naples, offers a pleasant yet peaceful atmosphere. With the amount of people being smaller, it’s an excellent area to tan and swim. The beautiful blue/green water complements the area with many mangrove bushes and other dune plants. Just a few minutes-walk down to the pier, you can take a stroll on the pier or go participate in beach volleyball games! It’s perfect for spending a long day at the beach.

SEAGATE

Seagate, just off of 41, features a long, flat landscape of beautiful plants and white sand. Often referred to as a “secret” beach, Seagate has a small wooden bridge that leads you right through the mangrove trees and opens directly onto the shore. Due to its location being away from busy neighborhoods, it’s the best place to be if you want a beach with very few people.

KEEWAYDIN BEACH

Keewaydin, only accessible by boat, is a large island located in between Naples and Marco Island. Keewaydin offers a broad spectrum of food and fun, with plenty of food trucks and exploration spots. Unlike other beaches in Naples, Keewaydin is the center for marine life with a multitude of different animals. It’s the greatest option for a day out on the water!

I hope you enjoy these beaches as much as I do!
