Community Participation

Community+Participation

Albert Einstein once said, “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.” Through the months of November and December, our students are working to combat the evil of poverty as they live out the school’s pastoral theme of “Community Participation.” From the baby supply drive, to the canned food drive, to the bake sale fundraiser for Toys for Tots, the SJN community has been working together to support those in need in Collier County. The words of Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much,” are being made evident as our school community seeks to grow in virtue by serving the universal church through acts of faith, hope, and charity. As the SJN Pastoral Plan states, “Our community can be more resilient and empowered when we all do our part.”
