The Cry of the Earth
September Theme of the Month
This month’s theme at St. John Neumann is “The Cry of the Earth.”
From the SJN Pastoral Plan:
The Earth is the one thing that everyone in the world has in common, so it’s our job to protect it. Our world is going through a lot of changes and all of us have to play a part in keeping it clean and safe! God made us stewards of the Earth. Let us protect our common home for the wellbeing of all.
Quotes from the Saints:
“Respect for life and for the dignity of the human person extends also to the rest of creation, which is called to join in praising God.” – St. John Paul II
“Be praised, my Lord, through our sister Mother Earth, who feeds us and rules us.” – St. Francis of Assisi
“If we learn to love Earth, we will find labyrinths, gardens, fountains, and precious jewels!” – St. Theresa of Avila
