Saint Ann’s Catholic School is Elementary and Middle School located near the hotspot of south Naples 5th Ave. This is also a very well known feeder school for our own school , St. John Neumann. Many people at Neumann that went to Saint Ann’s absolutely loved it.
This is one of the many years that Saint Ann’s has held intramural soccer for many grades. Unfortunately, they struggle to find a coach for the third through fifth graders. My name is Marie Campbell and I have the great opportunity to be selected as a coach for them this year. this is a great opportunity for young kids to learn the basics skills and develop a love for the game.
The intramural soccer team is also coached by Elle Moran who is also a student at St. John Neumann. The student Director of athletics at Saint Ann’s is amazing. Her name is Courtney Hill and has orchestrated all this for the students.
Elle and I coaching 3rd through 4th graders which at times can be very chaotic. “We have learned more about them and their different skill sets and personalities. We have all gotten very close as a team and have so much fun.” Elle mentioned during a quick interview as well as that “They love to scrimmage against each other, as well as help each other out if they’re struggling. We learned how to be better coaches with the help of these little kids.” They’re a very fun group and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to coach these kids.
Saint Ann’s intramural soccer is one of the many sports they have available for kids. It’s not only third through fourth graders. They have this opportunity for all grades. This is one of the great opportunities for kids to learn the game as well as learn basic skills which can promote them in the long run. Elle and I are hopeful that they continue to play as they are exceeding and having fun.
