When and where was the retreat this year?

The retreat was in St. Williams Church on Friday November 8th at 9:00am. 

How was it?

It was an amazing experience. All the juniors and staff did an amazing job planning and organizing the whole event. Seeing all the juniors with their Moana theme was very fun and different. Getting together with different groups of people that we aren’t usually with was interesting. Going to the church and hearing Ariana’s speech was very motivating and refreshing to hear. The snacks were also a nice touch to have everybody together enjoying themselves. Lastly the beach was a very nice walk going to and going from. The water was just what everyone needed after the hot long walk to the beach. The Chick-fil-A was also an amazing food choice that everyone loved. 

The Theme Choice

The theme of the retreat was Moana. All the juniors were dressed up as different characters and had different groups for everyone. There was a funny play at the beginning of the retreat held by the juniors about Moana and some of the challenges she might face as well as something’s we could relate to as well. 

Group Activities 

The group activities were fun as well. Connecting with a different crowd or group of people was pretty interesting and different. It was nice discussing the journals and doing icebreaker activities. I think the journal question were a nice way of getting to know each other. 

Church

Going to the church and being one with God was also a nice way of connecting and being with one another. I think it was a good way to bring ourselves and our relationship with God closer. Faith is always a good way to get or bring people together. It was also very nice to hear Ariana’s story and how she overcame her difficulties, it was very motivating. 

The beach

The beach was also an amazing way to make us all have a good time and destress. We all had fun feeling the sun and cold water on a hot day. The walk was pretty fun too, going exploring from the church all the way to the beach and back. I think it was an amazing final tough to make us all have fun.
