Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel is set in the 1920s. It follows the story of Nick Carraway, who becomes entangled in the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire, is obsessed with reuniting with his former love, Daisy Buchanan, who is now married to the wealthy Tom Buchanan.
I loved this film’s music with the soundtrack featuring Lana del Rey, as well as the acting and visuals, especially the tour of Gatsby’s home. Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey McGuire, and Carrie Mulligan portray their characters perfectly while adding their own touch.
I would definitely recommend it!
