After a long and eventful Homecoming Spirit week, this was the game we had all been waiting for, the Homecoming football game. This week the Celtic football team was taking on Indian Rock Christian.
During the day the SJN students had their color wars with each class wearing a different school color: Freshman in gold, Sophomores in green, Juniors in white, and Seniors in black. The theme for the game was a green out.
At the beginning of the game, the Celtics were trailing 0-7. By halftime they took back the lead.
At half time, the homecoming court representatives were announced and the king and queen were crowned. Representing the freshmen this year was Bridget Lyons and Braden Mills. Representing the sophomores was Lani Fritzam and Aiden Miranti. Representing the Juniors were Clare Zuercher and Cole Morris. Seniors Kennedi Seeber and Logan Baratta were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.
In the third quarter, the Celtics were scoring, increasing their lead. In the middle of the third quarter, there was some rain but that did not keep the Celtics from playing. In the fourth quarter the Celtics scored again. The final score of the game was 17-7.
Way to go Celtics!
