Why did you decide to come to SJN, and what do you like best about it so far?
Ms. Grivers was drawn to SJN after reading about its mission statement online and connecting
with Sister Pat, to whom she emailed her résumé. She appreciates the school’s family-oriented environment and the Salesian values that resonate with her.
What inspired you to become an ESE teacher, and how has your motivation evolved over time?
This is Ms. Grivers’ first time as an ESE teacher. Previously, she taught math at another school. Her motivation to transition into ESE teaching stems from a desire to expand her knowledge and skills in education.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in ESE teaching?
Ms. Grivers advises prospective ESE teachers to work diligently in school and focus on
understanding and connecting with their students.
What do you find most rewarding about your role as an ESE teacher?
For Ms. Grivers, the most rewarding aspect of being an ESE teacher is the opportunity to
make a positive impact on her students’ lives.

Ms. Grivers has previously worked at a public school. She notes that while the student dynamics remain similar, the religious and Salesian aspects of SJN have been a welcoming and enriching addition to her professional life.
What are your long-term career goals?
Ms. Grivers’ career goal is to continue providing the best support for her students while also
fostering her own growth as an educator.
