Chris Stapleton is an American singer and songwriter who was born in 1978 in Lexington, Kentucky. Stapleton is a country singer whose music is known for being a blend of country, classic rock and Southern soul. Stapleton gained fame after a performance he had at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards. After winning Artist of the Year he released his first radio hit “Nobody to Blame” in 2016. Since then Stapelton has gone on to release five studio albums. Since then, he has won many CMA awards and 10 Grammys.
Stapelton’s Father was a coal miner, he also had an older brother who shared his passion for country music. He grew up listening to country music and gained a strong appreciation for it. He graduated valedictorian of his class and moved to Nashville to study engineering. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue music. Before Stapelton went big he was a lead vocalist for two bands, the Steeldrivers, and the Jompson brothers. After parting with his bands he released his first album “Traveler” that won him album of the year. Stapelton does not have any news out for a new album in 2024.
