The Volleyball Team Went Out With a Bang

The Celtics Volleyball had a successful tournament coming home with a win.

The Neumann Varsity Volleyball team had a successful week at their August 8-9 tournament in Wesley Chapel. The Varsity volleyball coach, Tito Martinez would like to share a few words.

Do you think the team felt confident going into the game?

At the beginning, the motions were all over the place but then they found the glue and the rhythm, after the first set things settled.

What components do players have to have to benefit the team?

Mental toughness. As soon as they have that component, first of all with themselves, then they can push the people around them.  Mental toughness is the key component for that.

Who won?

It goes by division. We won the American Division, but we just dropped one set.

How has this game affected the team?

It affected the team in a good way because it was a boost of confidence for the second half of the season.

What was the biggest accomplishment in this tournament?

The way the girls enjoyed the game and supported each other every single match. The bonding that we are still creating with the program, and the first tournament won a championship for the school so that’s a huge accomplishment.

Great weekend for Neumann Volleyball! Come out and support the Celtics in their upcoming games!
